Anniversary Match Show!

2nd Martha & Friends Anniversary Charity Match Show!

Join us for a Sunday afternoon of fun, celebration and show ring practice! We welcome all dogs and their owners wanting to practice their showing and handling skills in a dog show-like atmosphere, and who wish to have fun – including all breeds and mixed breeds alike! But best of all, we are also celebrating the second anniversary of the opening of Martha & Friends Dog Wellness, as we opened our doors on 20.11.2020!

Match Dog Show is an informal dog show typically organised by breed clubs and dog sport clubs as practice for young dogs and their owners wanting to practice their handling skills, with guidance from experienced handlers and/or dog show judges. Martha & Friends organized its first Charity Match Show on April 3rd, with 35 dogs participating and which raised € 1,500 in support of dog owners and breeders in Ukraine, contributing to the Federation Cynologique International (FCI) Solidarity for Ukraine Fund.

The proceeds of this 2nd Martha & Friends Charity Match Show will be donated to the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, which provides daily support to families of children and adolescents suffering from cancer or another life-threatening illness. The multi-disciplinary team of the foundation offers individual support in providing administrative and financial services, psychological and social support and educational and recreational activities.  Finally, it actively supports pediatric oncology research.

As with the previous Match Show, it is the culmination of several months of Ring Training workshops held by our amazing Guest Trainer Isabel Weber, a well-known breeder and hugely successful professional handler of show dogs. Participants in Isabel’s popular workshops have done incredibly well in dog shows around Europe, including Best of Breed and Group placings. This time, we have the honour of welcoming as judge, Ms. Ruth Wagner, respected international show-judge for several FCI breed groups and breeder of champion Rough Collies and Shelties.  She is also the Honorary President, of the Bergers Britannique et Australian Shepherd Club Luxembourg.
